Calgary is set to become one of Canada’s major live-poker destinations this fall as the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) returns to Deerfoot Inn & Casino from September 30 through October 12, 2026.
The 12-day festival will feature a broad schedule of No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha and mixed-game tournaments, giving recreational players and experienced tournament professionals plenty of opportunities to compete for cash prizes and coveted WSOP Circuit rings. (WSOP.com)
A Full Schedule of 18 Events
The Calgary stop opens on September 30 with two events: the C$400 Big 30 Stack and a C$600 No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha Mixed event. The following days introduce bounty formats, a Mini Main Event, Mystery Bounty, Seniors, Progressive Knockout and several other tournament variations.
Among the highlights are:
- C$400 Big 30 Stack
- C$600 NLH/PLO Mixed
- C$600 NLH Black Chip Bounty
- C$400 Mini Main Event
- C$600 Mystery Bounty
- C$400 Seniors Event
- C$500 Progressive Knockout
- C$1,000 No-Limit Hold’em
- C$400 Monster Stack
- C$800 H.O.R.S.E. 8-Max
- C$2,300 Main Event
- C$3,500 High Roller (WSOP.com)
The schedule provides several entry points for players with different bankrolls, while also offering bigger buy-in events for serious tournament grinders.
The Mini Main Event Should Attract Plenty of Players
One of the early festival highlights is the C$400 Mini Main Event, which has four starting flights running from October 1 through October 3. Multiple starting flights give players several opportunities to enter the tournament and build a stack for the later stages.
The festival also features a C$600 Mystery Bounty, adding another popular format to the Calgary schedule. Mystery Bounty tournaments combine traditional tournament poker with random bounty prizes that can create substantial swings once the bounty stage begins.
The C$2,300 Main Event Takes Center Stage
For players looking for the premier championship event, the C$2,300 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event begins October 8.
The tournament has three starting flights:
- October 8 — Flight A
- October 9 — Flight B
- October 10 — Flight C
The Main Event represents the biggest traditional championship buy-in on the core schedule and is likely to be one of the festival’s main attractions for regional and traveling tournament players.
A High Roller Finale
The series concludes with the C$3,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller on October 12.
That event gives higher-stakes players one final opportunity to compete before the Calgary Circuit stop comes to a close. A final C$400 No-Limit Hold’em event is also scheduled that afternoon.
More Than Just Hold’em
Although No-Limit Hold’em dominates the schedule, the festival offers several alternatives for players who prefer different formats.
The schedule includes PLO, mixed NLH/PLO, H.O.R.S.E., bounty tournaments, Mystery Bounty and Progressive Knockout formats. There is also a dedicated C$400 Ladies Event and a Seniors tournament.
That variety makes the Calgary stop appealing not only to traditional Hold’em players but also to mixed-game and PLO specialists.
Deerfoot Inn & Casino Welcomes the WSOP Circuit
The event will be hosted at Deerfoot Inn & Casino in southeast Calgary, which is promoting the festival as a 12-day poker experience featuring multiple tournaments each day.
The casino is also offering a special room rate for tournament players using the code WSOP1026. (Deerfoot Inn)
